The Foundation for the Higher Good is more than a charitable organization serving families in Central America and beyond. We are developing more eco-friendly and cost-effective ways of supporting these communities so our reach can extend further and positively impact more people. With volunteers around the world and helping hands working with local governments, churches, and community aid centers to provide food security, housing, healthcare, and education to families in need, The Foundation for the Higher Good is dedicated to serving with a compassionate heart.

Our commitment to the communities and environment of Central America is clear. From the very beginning, The Foundation for the Higher Good has sought to serve impoverished and underserved people in Guatemala since 2005, and our reach has only grown since then. We are now proud to share that we have helped build medical clinics to treat illnesses and provide eye exams and glasses to locals, fund food security programs, and further the education of women and children.
In addition to the services The Foundation for the Higher Good has offered in Central American communities, we are also innovators. Our eco-friendly building materials, designed with Higher Good Eco Mix, use plastic bottles and bags gathered from around the community to create building bricks and flooring blocks. This dual-purpose building solution decreases pollution in the local area and gives job opportunities to locals as home builders.
The Foundation for the Higher Good’s mission to provide care and empower communities will continue until we can free these communities from poverty, malnutrition, and pollution. Until then, The Foundation for the Higher Good will be here to serve, innovate, and educate in Central American communities.

Investing money into local communities is one way to support impoverished people worldwide. However, at The Foundation for the Higher Good, we believe in using our resources to empower healthy communities to uplift their neighbors. We begin with providing better access to healthcare and food. Food security is the first problem communities in Central America must overcome. Guatemala in particular has the highest rate of growth stunting in the Western Hemisphere. This is due to a poor diet caused by a lack of resources to purchase or even access nutrient-dense ingredients and meals. In addition to poor nutrition, many families are unable to access healthcare or vision care simply because doctors are absent in rural towns. With proper immunizations, care, and glasses, The Foundation for the Higher Good can help Central Americans lead healthier lives.
With improved health comes the opportunity to learn skills and take on jobs. With our Higher Good Eco Mix, we teach locals how to create environmentally friendly bricks and pavers for home construction. Our builders will also train communities in safe home construction to ensure our eco-cement products last a lifetime. Women and children are also empowered through the opportunity to receive an education. With books, uniforms, and additional schooling costs covered, children and young adults can seek greater education opportunities. We also work with local women to develop skills that can generate income for them. The services and skill-building techniques introduced by The Foundation for the Higher Good grow every year, and we strive to increase the number of people we can help each year.

Help Pave The Future
The Foundation for the Higher Good is on a mission to transform construction while protecting the environment. We've developed a revolutionary building material called Eco-Mix, which incorporates repurposed plastic alongside cement and volcanic ash. This innovative material offers a win-win solution: stronger and more durable roads thanks to rigorous testing by Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a greener future by diverting plastic waste from landfills.
Currently, we're partnering with the city of Santiago Atitlan on various infrastructure projects, and soon, we hope to expand to Magdalena Milpas Altas and Antigua. All these cities share a common goal: maintaining their roads in top condition. They recognize the potential of Eco-Mix but require a demonstration project.
