Everywhere you turn, people are in need. Broken homes. Starvation. Disease. It breaks our hearts to see people suffer. But it hurts even more when charity effors are mired in bureaucracy or inefficiency.
That's where the Foundation for the Higher Good comes in. We empower people to give to smart causes - where aid works harder, benefactors become self-sufficient and generosity is felt immediately, directly and completely.
Guatemala Project

We have been providing funding and supplies for medical care and ongoing education for the native Mayan Indian people in Chichicastenango, El Quiche through the ASELSI ministry. This ministry which originates from the Columbia, MO region has been running a Milk Program and Medical Clinic for over 5 years in the most impoverished area of Guatemala (81% of the population lives below the poverty level). The number of families that have received care (nutitional, pharmaceutical, eye care and physical therapy) through the Father's Heart Clinic numbers in the thousands. Currently they have 2700 families enrolled in the clinic, which is 1200 sq. ft. in size. The need for a new, larger medical facility is huge. The Foundation for the Higher Good's efforts in this project is to raise funds that will allow this building to not only be built quickly, but to acquire the necessary medical equipment necessary to serve the hundreds of Mayans who so desperately need better health care. As part of our mission, we believe that the need is as great in our own communities as it is in other countries. We have been supporting various local nonprofit organizations like the ones below whose community outreach is for the children in the Boone County area.

Our mission has always been to "Make a Difference in lives, be it a family member, friend or complete stranger". Our mission can be YOUR mission too! As human beings we want and need to be recognized for the good things we do in the world, but unfortunately that happens far to little these days. It doesn't take much to show someone:
WHY you appreciate them in your life,
WHEN you saw them perform a good deed, or
HOW they have made a difference to others
Our Blue Ribbon campaign was created to help do just that. A blue ribbon given to a friend or family member in a sincere, heartfelt manner can put the biggest smile on the face of anyone, any age because they feel that they really do matter in the world!
